Keema masala


Ingredients

Minced meat (I used pork and veal) : 400gms
Cinnamon stick : 1
Sunflower oil : 2 tbs
Chopped onion : 1
Dried garlic powder: 1tsp
Cumin powder: 1tsp
Garam masala powder: 1tsp
Red chilli powder: ½ tsp
Hydrabadi Biriyani mix: ½ tsp
Yogurt : 70gms
Sugar : ½ tsp
Salt to taste

 Procedure

Add a cinnamon stick to the oil. Once it starts emitting smell add chopped onion and fry it till it turns golden brown.


Lower the heat and add dried garlic powder. Fry it a bit and add the minced meat. I used a mixture of pork and veal but one may use any other meat.


Fry the minced meat nicely until it changes color.


Add the powdered dry spices. Sauté it a bit and add yogurt, sugar and salt.


Sauté the mixture nicely with the meat. Once the oil starts to float add about ½ a cup of water. Cover and cook for 30 minutes.


You can serve this with rice or chapatti as per your choice.
