Strawberry mango lassi smoothie

Summer is fast approaching and with the sun beating down, a refreshing cold smoothie is always a perfect idea. Here is an interesting drink that I came up with. It is similar to a smoothie but based on yogurt. 

In India there is a traditional yogurt based drink known as the lassi. This recipe is not exactly a lassi but is somewhat a cross of lassi and smoothie in the sense that it is made from crushed raw fruit and based on yogurt. 


For the fruits I used a mango which I happened to find here is France, which apparently came all the way from Peru. And I also used strawberries simply because they are one of my favorites. So here is the simple fruit smoothie based on yogurt for cool refreshing summers.


Ingredients

Mango : 1
Strawberries : 8
Yogurt : 125 grams
Sugar : 3 teaspoons
Cinnamon : 1/2 teaspoon


Procedure

Chop the mango into small cubes.

Puree the mango.

Add 2 teaspoons of sugar to the yogurt.

Whisk the yogurt in small busts.

Add cinnamon powder to the yogurt and whisk it again.

Now pour the mango puree into the smoothie mug.

Pour the blended yogurt on top of it.

Chop the strawberries, add 1 teaspoon of sugar to it and puree it.

Add the strawberry puree to the smoothie mug.

Serve cold.

A simple yogurt based drink made with crushed raw mango and strawberries.

Ingredients:
  • Mango : 1
  • Strawberries : 8
  • Yogurt : 125 grams
  • Sugar : 3 teaspoons
  • Cinnamon : 1/2 teaspoon
Instructions:
  1. Chop the mango into small cubes and puree it.

  4. Chop the strawberries and add 1 teaspoon of sugar to it and puree it.
  5. In a smoothie mug first pour the mango puree, then the yogurt blend and finally the strawberry paste.
  6. Serve cold.
